What is Champlevé & Cloisonné?
Champlevé is an enamelling technique in which troughs or cells are created by carved, etched, die struck, or cast into the surface of a metal object, and filled with vitreous enamel.
Champlevé is distinguished from the technique of cloisonné enamel in which the troughs are created by fusing fine silver wire strips to the surface of the object.
I enjoy combining the 2 techniques of Champlevé and Cloisonné to create one of a kind designs.
Feel free to visit "My Process" page to see exactly how I create my pieces.
